Generally, you only have to provide notice in two situations:
1) There are employment contracts (including union or collective bargaining agreements) which require notice to terminate employment; or
2) The business is large enough (100 or more more-or-less full time employees) to be covered by the WARN act.
Outside of those situations, notice is typically not required.
