If an ex-spouse has a change of circumstances but later finds employment in another state, is the alimony retroactive?
My ex left the state and is not working at the moment when he seeks new employment am I entitled for my alimony to be retroactive? My alimony is my main support.

Did he apply for a modification based upon change of circumstances or is he just behind (known as in "arears")? If he is in arrears then you are entitled to the back support. I would, though, consider getting a judgement for all money owed to you just in case something happens. You can then collect against his estate. Good luck to you.
