Did your landlord inform you that there was lead paint in the dwelling? Your landlord should have had you sign EPA disclosure forms acknowledging that he has informed you about the lead paint and given you a EPA pamphlet. If your landlord has not, then you will be allowed to break your lease. Regarding the deposit, he does not have to give you the information unless you ask for it. Once you request the information, he must provide you with the name of the bank and the account number.
