If you and your adult 22 year olf boyfriend have sex, very well under the laws of your state he can be charged with "stautory rape" as well as other charges pertaining to inappropriate behavior with a minor.
There is a substantial difference in maturity between a 22 year old adult and a 16 year old minor. Existing laws prohibiting intimate conduct between an adult and a minor have their purposes. I caution against doing what you have written about possibly doing with your adult boyfriend.
