If I close my business (just an independent artist, no assets or debt), do I just have to pay whatever I made for sales tax and income tax?

Or is there something else I should be aware of?

I am afaid that much more informatoin would be required regarding the business itself, its assets and the natiure of the debts.  You must consult with an attorney in person.
