A convicion becomes part of your permanent criminal history record. The only way to have it come off is to get court order to remove it; specifically you will need an order of "expungment". However, not all convictions can be expunged; it will depend on the type of crime involved and the law of the state in which it occurred. Accordingly, you need to contact the state and obtain the necessary information. You can start on-line for this. Good luck.
