If I file bankruptcy on my medical bills will that remove them from my husband’s credit also?

I have several unpaid medical bills that I am considering filing bankruptcy on. I am married and a couple of bills are also on my husband’s credit report because I was under his insurance, that was through his employer, at that time. If I file bankruptcy on all of my bills, will those bills that were under his insurance be discharged as well and will they no longer be able to report them on my husband’s credit report?

No, if your husband was himself also responsible for the bills, your bankruptcy will not discharge his debts; your husband would have to also file bankruptcy, which means that both of you will have the signficant impact to your credit histories and scores.
