Most states will allow for an expungement of misdemeanor or felony offense so long as you meet the requirements for your state's expungement (or Set Aside Conviction) rules. In Michigan you can have a domestic violence offense expunged after five years from the date of sentence, you have no other criminal convictions, and there are no objections from the original victim in the case. You may want to discuss this with a criminal attorney in your state to see if you are eligible.
