You do not need an attorney to make  or revise a will. But you do need to follow the procedural requirements, including for how it is signed, witnessed, and executed, EXACTLY. Have your amendment (or completely new, revised will--you can do it either way) signed, witnessed, and notarized the same way the will done prevously for you by an attorney was signed, witnessed, and notarized.
