If I have filed a Sexual Harassment Charge with EEOC, is it wise to discuss the incident with my employer? or should I have a lawyer present?

I have recently contacted EEOC regarding a sexual harassment incident.
Management is aware of the incident. I go in to the office tomorrow, I
know I will be asked about it. Should I discuss the incident with HR
or should I wait to get a lawyer?

No, if you have already filed the charge with the EEOC, do not speak with management about it either 1) asking the EEOC and getting clarification of what you can and cannot say, and to whom, about the incident, or 2) retaining your own attorney and following his/her advice. If you are not ready or willing to pay for your own attorney, contact the EEOC and ask them for guidance on what to do; you do not want to compromise or damage their investigation.
