If I paid my fines for my felony, can I have my records sealed or expunged?

I do not know my felony class or probation sentencing but my D.A. failed to show to court multiple times over a 4 year period. I know my fines are $12,000 total. I am currently on unsupervised probation and have not had a previous conviction or one after the initial conviction of which I am asking.

Unless you are a minor, you cannot have your criminal file sealed by the court where you were convicted of a felony. You might consider consulting with a criminal defense attorney about possibly filing a motion to expunge your criminal felony conviction at some point in time.

If your felony conviction is expunged by a court order, for all intents and purposes you would not have been convicted of the felony, but you would still have an open criminal file that could be viewed by the genral public since it is a public record.
