If my roommate’s animals damaged my furniture is my roommate legally responsible for the damage his pets did?
The cat and dog scratched up and peed on my leather chair. It is ruined. The animals belong to my roommate. What are my options?

You could sue your roommate for damages to your furniture. But keep in mind that unless the furniture is relatively new or expensive, you will not be awarded much money, if anything. It probably wouldn't be worth the time and expense of going to court.
It appears that you need to try and work something out with your roommate regarding his pets and if he can control their behavior. If that is not an option, you should consider moving out and finding a new place to live.
