Does a Last Will and Testament have to be initialed on every page of the Will for it to be legally sufficient?

Please confirm this information with ana ttorney in your area, but it is my understanding that there is not such a requirement in the state of Mississippi.  Besides the normal issues that arise - competancy, etc. - it is my understanding that as to signatures Mississippi has only two requirements:

  • you must sign your will in front of two witnesses, and
  • your witnesses must sign your will.

Many attorneys do have parties initial each page which could cut back on Will contests, etc., but I do not see it as an absolute.  Good luck.
