If you have a warrant out for your arrest, it is possible that you could be arrested at the DMV when you go to get an ID, a driver's license, or a renewal of either. The DMV isn't just an administrative office, it is part of the Texas Department of Public Safety-- which often offices with at least one state trooper. Their systems are also designed to "flag" people with warrants-- so if a trooper is handy and you have a warrant, the DMV clerk may call one of them to come and arrest you on the warrant.
