Is it legal for a company to pay me 7 days after I was fired?
I worked for a company and decided that I wanted another job. I was suppose to
get paid 10-15-2018. On 10-16-2018 I was fired and he told me that he had 7 days
to pay me. I was wondering is that legal given the fact that I was suppose to be
paid a day before I was fired and does he really have 7 days to pay me?

In TX, an employer must pay an employee who is discharged or laid off all wages due within 6 days after the date the employee is discharged. So technically, you were paid late but sine it was only by 1 day it may or may not be worth your while to pusrsue a claim. At this point, you can contact your state's department of labor for further information.
