Is it wrong to be terminated for

I have been with this company 3 months and just found out today that I may be terminated because the insurance company that covers the company vehicle says they will not cover me. Now I have been in 2 accidents over the past 4 years, neither of which resulted in a citation, points on my license, etc.. Is this legit?

It is legit, unfortunately, unless you have a written employment contract which, by its plain terms prevents them from terminating you for this reason (i.e. which limits the reasons or procedure by which you can be terminated). Otherwise, without a contract, you are an "employee at will," and an employee at will may be terminated at any time, for any reason, including failing a background check or information from an insurer.
