Is there a lemon law on rebuilt transmissions?

I recently had a rebuilt transmission put in my truck and have had to take it back to the shop twice because it continues to leak transmission fluid very badly.

Unfortunately, my research suggest that inSC only new vehicles are covered by its Lemon law. Therefore, defects with your rebuilt transmission would not be covered. For more information, here is a site that you may find to be of help: http://www.consumer.sc.gov/faqs/Pages/lemonlaw.aspx

Thay having been said, you may have grounds to file in small clims court to recoup your damages, etc.
