Is there a statue of limitations on a used car purchase?

I bought a car and the previous owner claimed that there was nothing wrong with the car/ However, I’ve had it for 2 days and now the car does not run. The seller has already refunded some money for a bad water pump and once again he claimed there was nothing wrong with the car.

Different theories under the laws of all states in this country have different statute of limitations. As such, there are sttaute of limitations concerning a used car purchase as follows: 1. breach of contract-four (4) years; 2. fraud-three (3) years; 3. negligence-two (2) years.

I suggest that you take the car you bought to a reputable mechanic for a good inspection to make sure that there are no more hidden issues with the vehicle you recently purchased.
