Is there a time frame a claim can be made for hours worked but were not paid for
I worked for a construction company for 12 1/2 years and was let go 5 years ago.
For 8 1/2 of those years I worked my one hour lunch break and was not compensated
for it. Can I file a claim now to be compensated for those hours? If so, how do I
do it. I live in the state of Virginia.
Thank you

You are out of time to file a claim for unpaid wages. The statute of limitations, or time period within which you would have to initiate a legal action, for this is only two years, so you are several years too late.
