Is there a way to get a free lawyer for an inmate convicted of a murder at the age of 14?
He has been in jail for approximately 35 years. We would like to pursue the Supreme Court decision on putting underage children away for life without parole. He originally had a court appointed attorney.

Hello. I suggest that, as starting points, you contact the public defender's office in the appropriate state, and you may contact The Innocence Project. You may also research the internet for other possible legal help pathways. If you are not good at searching the internet yourself, you may ask one or more reference librarians to assist you. If you have some financial resources available, do contact a private attorney. Know that generally: Some attorneys are available seven days for emergency legal needs. Many attorneys will speak initially at no charge. Then, if legal work is performed, some attorneys will provide a reduced fee for financial hardship. Some attorneys may also assist you in a limited scope manner to conserve legal costs. All the best.
