It is legal for me to take a patient home after surgery?
I work for a plastic surgeon in the admin department – no medical background.
Sometimes we do in office surgeries under local we numb the patient and give
them xanax. Sometimes the doctor will ask me to take the patient to their hotel
after surgery in an uber to ‘make sure they are okay.’ Is this legal? It scares
me because I have no medical background and what is something actually did
happen? Would I be responsible?

It is legal and you would not be responsible for whatever happens to the patient (unless you personally injured them--e.g., knocked them down stairs) any more than the Uber driver, or a cab driver, etc. would be liable for an injury or illness of a passenger if they did not themselves cause it.
