Ive been divorced for 3 mos, can I still be granted half of his pension
My ex-husband worked at Eli Lilly for 42 years. We were married for 13 1/2 years and I didn’t seek half of his pension. We had lived in FL for 8 months when he filed. I was in shock, used the same attorney didn’t even think about his pension. The divorce was finalized within 1 month I had to move back to IN to live with family. Is there anyway I can gain access to his pension now?

No, once the divorce is finalized, you are entitled to what is in divorce decree or settlement -- no less, but also no more. You cannot seek additional amounts after the divorce is final. Had you sought this during the divorce, you might have gotten some share or portion of his pension, but having not done it then, it is too late now.
