IWhat is the maximum tipping required for servers?
At the restaurant that I work at, we are required to tip a total of 4% of our sales to the bartender and bus boys. I have heard that the maximum tip out is 2.8% for the state of California. I have searched online and can not find the answer to my question.

Etheridge v. Reins is a California case that states restaurants may legally mandate tip sharing with those who provide direct table service. Plaintiffs argued it violates California Labor Code Section 351.
