What to do if my dog got loose and injured another dog?
We all live on acreage and my dog and a neighbor’s dog got in a fight. Both loose but mine had a underground invisible fence but got through it. The other dog’s injuries resulted in a $6500 vet bill. What’s my responsibility? I’m willing to pay half to be a good neighbor but need to know the law.

Under the laws of all states in this country the owner of a canine is strictly liable for all damages caused by his or her animal. From what you have written, your dog caused $6,500 worth of damages after your animal escaped from your property. You would be responsible for such damages. You might call your homeowner's insurance carrier to make a claim for such damages under your policy.
