Must I pay the higher amount of 2 invoices for the same professional service rendered?
I received 2 invoices from my accountant for preparing the same personal tax return. The lesser one was included with my return in a personal e-mail in April. The higher one was included in an invoice to my former office for 3 returns (myself and 2 partners at the time). I just paid the lesser invoice. My former partners paid 2/3 of the invoice sent to the office and the accountant wants the other 1/3 from me (minus what I have paid already). Do I owe him more for the same service rendered?

Ask him. It's not worth ruining the relationship by hiring a lawyer and fighting over it.
