What to do if my 2nd mortgage company has started foreclosure on my home?

I received a copy of an “Order to show cause” on the plantiff. It appears that they have sent a response to this and another summons was issued. This was the first summons I received (I never received the first one ). What does this mean?

What you have written about means that your second mortgage holder has initiated a judicial foreclosure on your mortgage where possibly if you do not pay what is owed you could end up losing your legal title to the home and be responsible for a deficiency judgment.

Given the seriousness of the legal action against you, I suggest that you immediately consult with a real estate attorney to discuss what your legal recourse is to this lawsuit and the need to file an answer before you get defaulted.
