It is wise of you to think of this now. The Will your Grandmother made should state what happens should her son pre decease her. But if it does not, then it appears that her Granddaughter will inherit under intestacy but not the daughter in law. I would double check this and perhaps consider making that new Will to insure everyone gets what she wishes. Good luck.
