If my boyfriend was driving my truck and hit a pole but I just have liability insurance, will he be liable for the damages?

If I took him to court, do you think a judge would make him pay for the damages. He has no vechicle.

You are liable for the damage to the pole because you are the registered owner of the truck.  Your insurance company would have denied your claim because your boyfriend is an unauthorized driver (not on your insurance policy).  You can sue him for negligence for the property damage (cost of repairs to your truck) and for the cost of repairs to the pole.
Although it is not possible to predict the outcome of any case, most likely, the judge will find your boyfriend liable for the damage to your truck and the pole.
