If my ex and I purchased a house together but we separated a little over a year ago and he kept the house, what are my options as far as getting the house out of my name?

You can file a quitclaim deed which releases your entire right, title, and interest in the house to your ex.
The quticlaim deed is signed in the presence of a notary.  It becomes effective upon being filed with the County Recorder's Office.
