What to do about child custody and an acting POA?

My ex-husband has custodial rights to 2 of my children. He is in the military and had given me a POA and other legal documents for the military giving me rights to the children. He then went behind my and the military back and issued a POA to his mother granting her rights to the children. She has now taken my kids. Does she legally have the right to do that?

Assuming you do not have custody of your children under a court order issued to you the second power of attorney that your "ex" signed in favor of his mother supersedes and ends the power of attorney that he gave you most likely. I suggest that you consult with a family law attorney about the matter you have written about for assistance.
