I was the Primary Beneficiary. The insurance company has now revoked my claim that they initiated.

Colorado has what is called "revocation statute" - CRS §15-11-804 - which works by revoking or canceling existing estate planning documents which gave your spouse specific rights. A life insurance policy is one of them. However, there has been a recent case that held otherwise so I would speak with a lawyer about your specific facts.
