If my house was sold at auction, who has the deed or title of the house and responsible for HOA, taxes, etc?
I have a house that was in the foreclosure process. It was not my primary house as my job is not in there and all items were removed prior to the auction. It was auctioned and the primary mortgage appears to be paid by Fannie Mae. I received no notification of the purchase at the auction. A real estate broker is trying to sell the house for Fannie Mae. Who is responsible for paying property taxes and HOA fees? All utilities to the house has been shifted over to some one else as I received final bills for them. The county assessors web page still has my information as owner listed.

If you have lost legal title to a piece of property subject to associatio fees,property taxes and other expenses, you are no longer responsible for any accruing fees and expenses after the date that you lost legal title to it.
However, you could be personally responsible for the property taxes, association dues and other expenses unpaid prior to the date you lost legal title to it.
If the property was lost at a foreclosure sale and no one purchased it, then the entity holding the trust deed that was foreclosed upon will receive a deed to the property and it is the owner of it. If someone purchased the property at auction, then the person having the successful bid will receive the deed to the property and would be the new owner.
