What to do if my husband is being charged with prohibited persons in possession of a firearm and aggravated DUI?

He was found on private property riding his ATV intoxicated. He also had a pistol holster on his belt, but no gun in the holster. The people who called in the complaint were also on scene and walking around and found a pistol in the weeds, and the officers on scene recovered the weapon and charged my husband with possession. They also got a statement from a women that said my husband shot a treestump prior to the police arrival. I want to know if all of this is legit. Please I feel like my husband is being targeted by the arresting officer because of personal issues.

You are probably tired of hearing this, but the best thing to do is to retain an attorney. There is simply far too much to explain.
