If my insurance company has denied my claim because I told them I was dropping off something at an job-related event, what legal action/recourse do I have, if any?

The contract I signed back 4 years which stated that I would not be using any of the vehicles for business purpose.

A one time drop off does not necessarily mean that you are using the car "for business purposes."  An over zealous claims adjuster is trying to make his or her mark.  You may need to bring a declaratory judgement action against your insurance company but at the very least file a complaint with your state insurance department.  And seek legal help.  Good luck.
