Am I required to sign the new lease considering I have been unable to contact the landlord at all?

My landlord is asking me to renew a lease starting the 1st of last month and provided me notice at the end of last month (within the 30 day period). I want to discuss with them and negotiate my increased rent. However, the landlord/mgmt has historically been impossible to reach or communicate with for any issue (there is someone else to contact relating to maintenance problems). I have e-mailed them numerous times with zero response.

The landlord is not, unfortunately, under any legal obligation to communicate with you or discuss or negotiate the rent. The landlord has made you an offer to rent the premises under certain terms/for a certain amount (the proposed renewal lease) and can require you to either accept the offer (sign the lease) as is or else move out.
