Okay so I am hoping that the voiding of the old lease was done in writing, correct? That is a necessity. Now, was the new lease that was month to month in writing or verbal? Either way you had to give proper notice - which is one month - before you could move out. It does not sound here like you gave the proper notice and one needs to read any writing to let you know your liability. Get help. Good luck.
