I am so sorry for your loss. You Mother died "intestate" and that means that the intestacy statute in the state will apply. If she has you three as her beneficiaries then you will most likely benefit equally under the statute. One of you needs to be appointed as the Personal Representative of the estate by filing a petition in Probate Court. She needs to gather the assets and the debts. Pay off creditors and then once the estate tax, etc., is taken care of distribute the assets. Good luck.
