I am assuming that you transferred your rights to that property in the stipulation of settlement and executed a quit claim deed as well.]? But that your ex husband never did what he was supposed to do to refiance you off the mortgage (maybe he could not afford to do so or qualif for a new mortgage?) so the deed was never filed? You do not really have any defenses here or rights unless the documentation was never completed. Take your divorce docs to an attorney to go over with you.
