What will happen if I fail to to pick up a letter regarding a deposition?
My parents are going through a nasty divorce and I am choosing not to be involved, however I received a slip in the mail advising that I have a certified letter from my fathers attorney,Other people in my family have picked theirs up and its in regards to a deposition. I am 24 years old.

Then the letter will be returned. I would speak with an attorney in your area on the matter to protect yourself. Generally, a letter has no power over a non-party. What they want is a non-party deposition and if they really want to make a stink then they can ask a court to "so order" the request or subpoena you. At that point it would be appropriate to have an attorney intervene and quash the document. So it depends on what the document is here and how far you want to go. Good luck.
