How long does it tale to get a passport?
My sister and I were born in Sudan. We came to the U.S. 11 years ago and applied for our passports 2 years ago. We still haven’t been called up to record our fingerprints. Why is this process taking so long? Is this the usual case for foreigners who move to the U.S.? By the way, we’re both permanent residents.

Hello. I suggest you may want to hire an attorney to assist you. Each case is unique. An attorney should be able to help you with this. Some attorneys are available seven days for emergency legal needs. Many attorneys will confer initially at no charge. Then, if legal work is performed, some attorneys will provide a reduced fee for financial hardship. Some attorneys may also assist you in limited scope manner to conserve legal costs. All the best.
