What should we do if my son unknowingly passed a counterfeit $20 bill?
He paid for pizza with it. The pizza person sent the police back to my son and they arrested him. His bond is $10,000 with no 10% reduction. He has no prior criminal history. What is the chances of him receiving a personal bond?

Passing a counterfeit bill is a felony in the state of Michigan so I would consult with an attorney immediately on the matter. It is my understanding that he had to know that it was counterfeit with an intent to pass same as a true bill. So the facts of the case will matter here on his defense. The attorney may be able to help with the bond. Get help.
