Whether your son will go to prison or not depends on a number of factors.  The main factor will be your son's criminal history.  If his history is extensive, then he could be staring down the barrell of a lengthy prison sentence.  If his history has been minor or he has no prior criminal history, then he will most likely be placed on some type of probation to assist with rehabbing of any issues that he may have.
