Online work
Hi,
Is it legal to create content like ebooks, videos etc., and sell them online in amazon, udemy etc., being in H1 visa. I heard it was illegal to do any other job than the H1 is entitled to do? Is an online sales considered a job? Is there any alternative to do the sales work otherwise?
Thanks,
S Somu

If you are in H-1B status you are only authorized to work for and derive income from that petitioning employer. You cannot be self employed and you cannot do any work that will generate income for you unless you get another employer to petition you for a H-1B.
