Our Representation Agreement doesn’t have a location or date noted down

We recently put in an offer for a house that ended up not going through. In the
offer paperwork we signed a Representation agreement with a real estate broker.
However, there was no stated time length or area only the state of Texas. Our
realtor has since become less than helpful. Are we still bound to use the same
broker or can we use another?

If there is no stated of period of time during which you are obligated to this realtor, then should be able to change realtors as well: a contract with an undefined or or indeterminate period of is generally subject to change or cancellation. Just be careful to not purchase any home you may have seen that realtor, since if a realtor showed you a home, you have to pay them their commission.
