Am I responsible for my father’s medical bills if he is in the middle of green card application?
My dad came for a gallbladder removal and is in ICU due to surgical complications. He has insurance and was in the middle of the green card process but not yet approved. What are our liabilities and obligations with respect to bills? He signed in when he went into get this emergency surgery.

Under the laws of all states in this country, unless you signed a document with respect to your adult father's medical bills where you are to be held responsible for the payment of such, you personally are not responsible for the bills, your father is.
This is so regardless of the fact that he is in the process of getting his green card application submitted.
