If I was rear-ended by an insured driver, isn’t his insurer liable to pay forall costs of a rental car for my use until my car is paid for or replaced?
My car was totaled. The other driver was 100% at fault.

Did you talk to the insurance company? Did they refuse to pay your rental car? Most insurance companies will cover this. Otherwise how could you get around?
