requiring two most recent pay stubs
I went on a job interview, after the interview, the recruiter said, ‘the hiring process consists of three references and your two most recent pay stubs.
Is this the new norm?
Thanks in advance,
Kevin

It is not a "norm" as far as I know, but it is legal: the prospective employer has the right to verify what you had been earning, to see if it matches or supports what you told them about your salary/wage requirements.
