You have not given much information as to the type of housing subdivision. When you say
restrictions" is that for the purposes of building? Is there a prospectus? Is there a homeowner's association with a set of homeowner's association rules? All these things matter. Generally speaking if you own a home then you can rent it out if need be. But I have heard of some subdivisions in Florida that have certain restrictions placed upon the homes by the builders in the contracts such as not being able to "flip" the house - sell it after it is built and you take possession from the builder - for a certain period of time. Some builders do not want "speculators" but owners. So I would double check all this with an attorney in your area. Show him or her all the paperwork involved Good luck.
