I was being trained on the job and was not given any eye protection. I was then hit in the eye and the result was a scratched retna.

2. Are you someone who is green on the job (il.e., new to this type of work)? If so, and you didn't know you needed eye protection, does OSHA (Occupational Safety Hazard Administration) require this employer or type of work to provide you with eye protection.
3. Did you contact OSHA or the Department of Labor in New York or both?
