What will happen if my stepdaughter had an automobile accident and did not have auto insurance at the time but told the officer that she did?
Within munites after the accident, she got insurance. She only got a ticket or speeding (she caused the accident). Now when she goes to court next month, what is she facing?

It depends. What is she charged with? IF she is only charged with speeding, then that is the current matter. Once the other driver attempts to collect from her insurance, it will be made clear she did not have insurance, and there could be a whole host of charges, from perjury if she lied under oath (in court) about her insurance to insurance fraud (if she pushes the insurance company to pay for an accident when she wasn't covered.
